The last stop
Pulling in at Cumberland Street

Address and parking
Gateway Casinos Thunder Bay is at 50 Cumberland St. South, Thunder Bay, ON P7B 5L4. Parking on site is free. The casino sits 2.8 km in a straight line from the Thunder Bay Expressway, which carries highways 11 and 17. Roads bend, so the actual route is longer than that line.
And for anyone arriving without a car? Thunder Bay International Airport is 10 km to the southwest in a straight line. The casino's pages describe no shuttle and no transit stop, so the trip from the airport needs its own plan. There is no hotel at the casino, either. A room for the night has to be arranged separately.
What to carry to the door
Every visitor must be 19 or older and carry valid government-issued photo ID. Ontario law keeps anyone under 19 out of a gaming site, casino or online, with staff at work as the one exception. And at 21 or younger? A second piece of identification showing the visitor's name is also required. That makes two pieces of ID in the wallet, not one.
Some people cannot come in at all, whatever they carry. Anyone trespassed or self-excluded from Gateway Casinos Thunder Bay, or from any Ontario gaming property, may not visit. A self-exclusion elsewhere in the province still applies at this door.
Access, cash and coffee
The casino is accessible to customers with disabilities. Wheelchairs, accessible formats and communication supports are available on request. A call ahead to 807-766-7900 lets the casino know what to have ready. The same line handles other questions before the trip.
What about money on the floor? Bank machines (ABMs), currency exchange and lottery are all on site, so money can be changed or withdrawn without leaving the building. Coffee, tea and fountain pop are complimentary; those are the only complimentary drinks. My Club Rewards membership is free, and the Guest Services desk handles it with valid ID. Members earn points at slot machines and table games.
