The Desk Behind This Gateway Casinos Guide
Every page of this guide is written and signed by the Last Stop desk, its own editorial team, and none names a writer. The guide covers the casino in Thunder Bay on its own; it is not Gateway Casinos, not OLG and not the casino's website.

Who keeps the guide
The Last Stop desk is the guide's own editorial team, credited as a group and never by name. It lays out the way in along highways 11 and 17, one stop at a time. Its last stop is the casino door itself, with the hours, the lot and the floor. The desk checks each fact before it goes on a page.
The desk answers to the guide alone. It has no tie to the casino, Gateway Casinos, OLG or any gaming operator. Nothing can be bet or played here, and there is no account or membership to create.
How the stops are measured
The stops are towns, villages and hamlets that OpenStreetMap places on or near highways 11 and 17. The desk picked them along each of the four ways in. A stop counts as on a highway when the mapped highway passes within 1 km of its point. Otherwise the guide says how far off it lies. Wawa, for example, is 2 km off Highway 17, and Marathon 3.3 km.
Each kilometre in this guide comes from a ruler laid on the map, point to point, never along the asphalt. The pavement always runs further than the ruler, so no driving times appear here. Casino facts are taken from the casino's own pages, and Ontario rules from the province's official pages. The desk checked everything on October 14, 2026, and times are Thunder Bay time, which is Eastern time. Nothing here asks for a form or an account; the browser tab keeps only the light or dark theme choice.
Where the pictures come from
None of the pictures here is a photograph. All are generated images, and the people in them are invented. Two were drawn from photographs of the real building. One is the Cumberland St. South front with its porthole doors; the other is the corner inside with the anchor chains and the ship propeller. The highway pull-off, the granite shore, the calm lake, the wet parking lot and the picnic table were generated with no casino in them.
Where the paid links sit
Three links on the start page, and on no other page, carry an Ad label. One sits in the header, one below the first screen and one near the end. They open a private online casino partner that the guide leaves unnamed and is free to swap. The guide earns a commission yet does not vouch for that partner, so look up any online casino in the iGaming Ontario directory first. Help lines, the province, OLG and the casino itself are always linked for free, with no commission behind them.
Writing to the desk
Letters for the guide are welcome at [email protected]. A stop or distance that looks wrong deserves a line, as does an hour the casino has changed. So does a simple wish to know how the stops were picked. This mailbox is the guide's own and does not reach the casino. For the casino itself, the casino line is 807-766-7900.
Asked before setting out
When were the facts checked, and are holiday hours included?
The facts were checked on October 14, 2026. No holiday hours are published, so the guide cannot give them. The casino line, 807-766-7900, can confirm them before a visit.
Are the distances in this guide measured by road?
No, these are map distances, measured point to point. The road itself always runs further. The guide makes no guess at how long the drive will take.
